Dr. Leanne Helfrich, MD, CCFP, FCFP is a highly respected physician with extensive training and experience in medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and complex skin conditions across the lifespan. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Saskatchewan, earning academic distinction, followed by her Doctor of Medicine from the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan in 1994. She later completed her Family Medicine Residency in Regina through the University of Saskatchewan. With a strong commitment to advancing dermatologic care within primary medicine, Dr. Helfrich completed a Primary Care Clinical Dermatology Diploma at Queen Mary University of London in 2024, further strengthening her expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide spectrum of dermatologic conditions.

Dr. Helfrich has held numerous leadership and academic roles throughout her career, including serving as Area Department Lead for Family Medicine with the Saskatchewan Health Authority (2020–2021) and as an Associate Clinical Professor with the University of Saskatchewan Family Medicine Residency Program and Undergraduate Medical Education. She has been widely recognized for her academic excellence, receiving the Lindsay Gold Medal (1994) and the Biology Award (1989) during her undergraduate studies. Clinically, Dr. Helfrich is known for her thoughtful, patient-centered approach. She places strong emphasis on education, shared decision-making, and evidence-based care—ensuring patients feel informed, supported, and confident in their treatment plans. Her interests span medical dermatology, procedural dermatology, and aesthetic treatments, with a focus on achieving natural, balanced results while prioritizing skin health.
